Innovation creates new business opportunities

NORWAY: "Nearly half of all Norwegian consumers say they would buy better quality food if they knew more about what it contained". Quality is precisely the key word for innovation opportunities in the Norwegian meat industry and the starting point for the three platforms; Taste of Norwegian nature, Best in class and Meat as an experience. These have been developed as part of an innovation project which looked at the future prospects for the meat industry. The project is led by the Food Research Institute Nofima and funded by the Norwegian Foundation of Research Levy on Agricultural Products (FFL). The Norwegian Agricultural Economics Research Institute (NILF) has been a co-operation partner.
