Food culture foundation closes in Norway

The work with Norwegian and Nordic food culture is a storming success.
"It is a movement which has changed from a light breeze almost to a storm in just a few years", says Harald Osa. Nevertheless, he and the other originators behind the Foundation Norwegian Food Culture have decided to close up shop.

"There is nothing wrong with the project, we are all passionate about it. Norwegian food culture is successful. It is perhaps the way in which the organisation has been project driven which is not right any more. Today there is a need for long-term financial funded work for food culture".

"Recent years have been very demanding for us financially, and as a consequence of this situation the foundation has dissolved itself. There are many excellent forces in Norway working to promote Norwegian food culture and we hope that some of our initiatives and activities can be carried on. Perhaps others will pick up the idea", says Harald Osa.

The Foundation Norwegian Food Culture has existed since 2006. Amongst those active apart from Harald Osa, include other well-known profiles in Norwegian food culture, such as Unn Karin Olsen, Siv Støfringstøl og Marit Strand.
