Children and Food in the Nordic Region has led to new partnership

05-05-2014

The project "Children and Food in the Nordic Region" (New Nordic Food II) has led to a partnership with a Leader project called boMin - Children and Food so very Nordic (Barn och mat så in i Norden (boMIN)).

- Our partnership is about sharing and taking advantage of each other's skills, providing inspiration, exchanging materials and ideas. Here is the website bomin.se/ which is our base and where we will create an active exchange of events. The idea is that the website will form a permanent comprehensive base of Nordic competencies that will be available even after the project is finished, explains project manager, Harriet Strandvik, NNM II.

- At the end of March we held a kick-off meeting with our Swedish hosts for the project in Skåne. There is great commitment and we are planning to hold network get-togethers for people on the project as well as activities online. Blogging will be a central tool and we will involve school pupils as well as professionals in the field of cooking and meals to write the texts, continued Strandvik.

There will be a meeting of Nordic food and child specialists within the framework of the boMIN project on 22 September in Åland, Finland. The theme is primarily SAPERE and dare to taste.
