Bocuse d'Or Europe 2014 and NNF II
The Bocuse d'Or will take place on 7-8 May in Sweden at the Stockholm International Fairs. New Nordic Food will participate on one of the stands and demonstrate the Nordic Kitchen Manifest. The Swedish National Food Administration and the Nordic Stop Wasting Food group will share the stand with New Nordic Food to put focus on reducing food waste.
For this unique event in Swedish food history, a "Swedish" area will be made with room for 1400 people on a huge platform from which they can follow the competition.
There will be four inns, each of which will represent a unique growth area in Sweden - Mountain, Sea & Ocean, Field and Forest. Each inn will be led by a famous chef (Stefan Holmström, Christian Hellberg, Danyel Couet, Niklas Ekstedt and Elaine Asp) and will be furnished and decorated uniquely to give a special sensation to all visitors, international journalists and foodies from around the world with a . There will also be a bar and a cafe.
Each chef (terroir) will also have a food producer present, responsible for one significant ingredient in one of the two dishes to be served. The Head Waiter fronting each terroir restaurant will one of the former winners of the competition Årets Servitör (Waiter of the Year).
This is a unique opportunity for all of Sweden to prove itself to the entire culinary world. About 2,500 visitors are expected in the hall every day, many of whom are international head chefs, foodies and journalists. In addition, naturally, all of the Swedish food industry will be there.
