They add taste to the Schlager Festival

If you've tasted Malmö then you've tasted the world. This is the impression that the city hopes to give the 1,200 European visitors in May.

The menu at the opening will set the standard for the festival. The aim is to work together to create a menu from a hamper of regional and Swedish ingredients and the five basic flavours liquorice, rhubarb, red chilli, elder flowers and rhubarb. The aim is to present typical Swedish food every day.
"Sustainable, locally produced, Swedish and multi-cultural. We are calling it a modern midsummer night's dream", says Charlotta Ranert who is responsible for the food concept during the Eurovision Song Contest.

Head chef Tareq Taylor held a workshop at the Malmö Opera where chefs and apprentice chefs were given free rein to create a dining experience.

The flavour profile has been produced by Foodism in Malmö.
