Cutting edge food programme at Ja Ja Ja Festival 2014

03-10-2014

Finnish chef and restaurateur Antto Melasniemi curates a cutting edge food programme for the Ja Ja Ja Festival 2014. London’s celebration of Nordic music, food & film - 13th, 14th & 15th November.

Now in its second year, the Icelandic singer Emilíana Torrini tops a bill of the best Nordic music, alongside a cutting edge food programme curated by Antto Melasniemi & screenings from the Nordic Music Video Awards.

This year the festival will be spread over two venues, with extended editions of the acclaimed Ja Ja Ja club night to take place at The Lexington on 13th & 14th November, before moving on to a special all-day event on Saturday 15th November in the beautiful environs of Queen Mary University’s historic Great Hall.

Ja Ja Ja Festival will showcase the best new music from Denmark, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Finland, Norway and Sweden alongside an innovative menu of mouth-watering cuisines, exclusive screenings and more.

An equally innovative food programme will be available to purchase at both venues, curated by the Finnish chef and restaurateur - and former member of legendary rock band HIM - Antto Melasniemi. Promising “culinary experiences that go beyond food and drink” and exciting collaborations with artists playing the festival, Antto has received international acclaim for his signature combination of seasonal simplicity with conceptual dining, launching a series of award winning restaurants and pop-ups, including Design & Dine at London Design Festival this week, Kuurna, Ateljé Finne, Hel Yes!, The Solar Kitchen and The Open Kitchen project.
